MEET DON
PORTRAIT, EVENT AND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
Photography has been his passion for as long as he can remember. Capturing life’s fleeting moments and turning them into lasting memories is what drives him as a photographer. Whether it’s the beauty of nature, the emotions of a special event, or the small details that often go unnoticed, he strives to create images that tell a story and evoke emotion. Every click of the shutter is an opportunity to see the world in a new way, and he is grateful to be able to share that perspective through his lens.
MEET REBECCA
Portrait, Event, and Wedding Photographer
As a devoted wife of over 20 years and mother to three beautiful children, she is grounded in her Christian faith and inspired by nature. Rebecca finds joy in life’s simple moments—biking through the trails, gardening, gym therapy and spending quality time with family. Her passion is helping others feel seen. Whether she’s arranging a portrait, guiding a family through a session, or supporting Don behind the camera, she’s always focused on what matters most: unveiling the beauty that makes you uniquely you.
This is my first photoshoot and I’m kind of nervous.
It's only natural to be a little nervous. So, before the photoshoot we will be in touch and you can share your thoughts and ideas. This is your journey and we are here to emphasize those details that light up your soul.
We embrace the natural beauty of each location and highlight your personality in each session. DRL Photography is known for our attention to detail and ability to create visually stunning compositions.
Do you edit the photos?
We embrace the natural beauty of all of our clients in the images provided; therefore, we do not make major alterations to any element of the photos.
All of our client’s receive standard editing.
Standard editing includes: minor blemish removal, skin smoothing, color and lighting correction, the removal of distracting objects (when the photographer deems necessary and feasible to accomplish with standard editing tools).
Do you do couples photography?
Yes! We have a few featured in Portraits, in our Portfolio. For more samples of our Couples Photography, you can contact us through our Contact Page.
How soon can I expect my photos?
Once the session is complete, we'll begin editing the photos to bring out the best in each shot. When everything is ready, your finished images will be delivered in a beautiful digital gallery, accessible via email for easy viewing and sharing.
What should I wear?
This is where it gets exciting and we want your unique style to shine. So, to help with that we can help you choose a location, theme, outfit, color scheme, accessories, etc. for your photoshoot.
In choosing your outfit here are some things to consider, busy patterns and wrinkles could be distracting. Gravitate towards natural fibers, soft fabric and word-free clothing. If your unsure on what to wear, send us some photos! We would love to help!
Are you available outside of North Carolina?
Yes! Use the Contact page to get in touch with us and share about your desired photoshoot destination. Travel charges apply.
What should I do in front of the camera?
Everyones comfort level is different in front of the camera so, there may be moments that you want or need some guidance. We will get creative with some cues to help everyone feel comfortable. Remember to breath and be yourself. We are here to help you during your photoshoot. It's what we do!
